Raptor you bought them there in your tank who has any right to tell you what to do with your livestock not anyone on these boards sell away trade away there yours to do with as you please.

Just wanted to add I love the frag I got from Alex! It has a little baby polyp that is starting to grow out now, just two weeks after I got it...
As much as people cry and bemoan high prices on stuff, it does help protect the very limited supply... I know if I sold some corals I have too cheap, everyone would want to buy them at that moment, and I would have to turn lots of people away.

Alex.. I'm behind you 100% bro...
I've always been a fan of keeping what's nice in my tank and as soon as I saw the PD's, I had to find out more about them... I finally got invited to check out Raptor's tank and man.. was amazed with what he had, esp the PD's.. I had to wait months to get a frag... and $50/polyp is not that bad considering he's the only one that had them during the time, as far as I know... he also had to wait for months to grow them out since he didn't want to jeopardize their health.. I think he waited close to a year before even deciding to frag them and share them to whoever wanted them..
as for selling & re-selling them, all I have to say is Free Enterprise... I'm just glad that Alex is getting the credit for discovering them.. or should I say accidentally discovering them..

I agree marvin if I would have had 50 bucks extra I would have tried to get one that was a great deal especially since alex was the only one with some. Those and some PPE are on my must have list (if I ever have the money ).

im just curious why the 14 year old boy on the other thread is getting trashed for buying frags and reselling them but this guy who is doing it with the purple deaths is getting props. i know the the boy used pics that wernt his own and lied and tried to get more polyps i understand why he should get trashed for that, but he also got trashed for the reselling of corals he baught and reselling them for a higher price. as far as the price of pd and ppe and any other gimic zoo/paly. i think it is crazy how much they are costing, but id be a lier if i said i wouldnt pay that much. now this isnt a bash on raptor by any means, because like everyone has already stated, he had the only ones. and i might change my mind someday and look to pay that much if needed be. i dont see how paying $40+ for a little frag of rainbow, superman or any other monti is ok but on a zoo it seems crazy. i dont like the fact that people are buying them and then charging 2-3x as much.

I totally agree with Raptor here......... he has done absolutely nothing wrong in his sales of the zoas. I think he's been very upstanding and honest all the way. He could have kept them hidden........ but by choosing to share them with the rest of the reefing community he has not only made them more available to the rest of us.... but helped to insure the existance of this awesome zoa......

what i was trying to say got taken the wrong way. so let me explain. first of i wasnt comparing raptor to that guy, i apologize to raptor for thinking i did so. i was comparing that kid selling the frags that he bought to the guy on tubs selling pd for what i thought and many thought were $109 per polyp. i stated the other things the kid did was wrong, but he also got heat from buying frags and turning around and selling them for more money. so im wondering what are thoughts on doing just that, buying frags and selling them for more?
one again, i apologize to raptor for the mis understanding. i have no problem with what he is selling his frags for, my personal opinion is that those who buy them shouldnt turn around and sell them for twice as much. now if tubs has them for sale 3 polyps for $109 then that is a good deal.

Even if it is 109 per polyp it isn't that outrageous when you consider that tubs probably has to up the price to cover his costs.
