Need a cool idea

I have a 60 gallon cubed that I upgraded from last year. It is now winter so I am looking to get it going. I already have a live rock / corals tank so I was looking to do something differant. I am going to still go with the live rock system my question is what do I put in it. i dont want to put anything in that will just outgrow my thank so I am somewhat limited. It will not have corals so I can have a wider variety in there. So if anyone can think of a cool idea please help. I have thought of everything from puffer tank, all small damsel like fish but allot of them, I even pondered the eel thing but think tank is to small and I have no experiance with them and also $$$$$$. All ideas welcome Thanks all. *****Happy Holidays*******-confused

I think a eel would be pretty sweet in that tank. I am not sure which one maybe someone else could comment on that. Also I have the metal stand ready 4 ya if you still want it. I am looking forward to seeing what other people will come up with. ttyl

But with an octopus comes no clean up crew he/she'd eat every last little snail and crab. I thought of doing this once but didnt want to have an hour a week or so picking and scrubbing at algea.

If I was going to do a species only tank I would go seahorse/pipefish.

Perhaps even freshwater planted.

You could put an eel like a chainlink. Very cool and out of all the stuff in my tank everyone notices him first. Then add maybe a dwarf lion and a flame angel. Then finish it with a Purple Pseudochromis or whatever you like that stays small.

Here is a picture of my Chainlink. They stay small under 20 inches, but look cool. He is right at 20 inches. They don't eat fish and are good about not knocking things over.

How much is an eel like that and does it take special care. Does it go after you when you put your hand in tank. It looks really cool.

Frogas are a little creepy. I like the seahorse idea and the eel guess I have to do some research thanks all.

i have a great clean up crew in my 75g ...i still have to get in my tank once in a while (everyday)-devil ....plus to have something special that changes colors like an octo ...i think it is worth getting your hands dirty..........

I had a clownfish/anemone tank set up for a while...it was really cool and they all hosted right away....maybe not what ure lookin for but I always liked mine....easier than a seahorse tank (had that too) or a octopus tank...

After awhile easy becomes boring..for me at least.i don't know much but it is my dream project...i know they only live for 2 3 yrs (mostly)....the can squeeze through anything...so the tank would have to have a nice topper...they don't require any exspensive lighting...and they like water on the cooler side...thats all i really know but have read stories on ppl keeping them.....sure would be worth dedicating a tank for....ahh some day
