I am 27 years old and have not seen any single women around my age in this hobby. Why? I need one so I don't always have to justify where my money and time goes plus another tank would be nice.

Now now, there are at least a couple women in our club that are in the hobby. My wife being one of them 
Maybe you just need to edit saying single women around your age

My wife was into it for about a month. Of course by "being into it" I mean she liked to go to the LFS and pick out fish. She wants no part of caring for it or cleaning.
I think it's way too involved for a lot people, especially females. I know there are a few here so that's cool though, I respect them for that.
My other hobby, building cars, is also a male dominant hobby (duh!) but there are a few women doing it and most of the time there stuff is better than most of the guys. I think they're trying to show that they can do it the same or better.

to smoke out the single ladies lol. I suppose somewhere on the needlepoint forum there is a post where are the single men lol. I can tell you having worked in a lfs like Wayne says they are out there though on the rare side. and every reefer wants to have a pretty girlfriend that doesn't mind the tank coming 1st now that is rarer. you know you are a reefing geek when you get a phone call asking if you want to go out. and you have to tell her you have to acclimate our new fish.

My hubby and I are a lethal pocketbook team, I love corals, and he loves fish... so no matter what, 99.9% of the time, we walk out with one of the two!
You guys should consider hosting a singles reefing party! Maybe after the Lansing frag swap somewhere at a bar

It would be a sausage fest. Might have to hold it at Omars so it can't be, but I am sure they don't like fish.

The tanning salon went out of business, and we are heart broken. Before it changed ownership a couple of years ago, I swear, it seemed like every Hooters girl and stripper from miles around tanned there....it was heaven. Now the Yoga place has nicely filled the void I must admit.
