Thanks Deb, unfortunately adjusting my resolution so that this site fits on my screen reduces the print to very, very small. I wouldn't mind switching to firefox but speed isn't an issue for me and it would seem to me that the site should be compatible with a microsoft browser. Having been a member for several years I have never had an issue and it wasn't until the upgrades that this issue started. I don't have the issue on any other forums or sites for that matter. Funny, the upgrades don't provide any upside for non-premium members. I had actually considered finall becoming a premium member after the upgrades simply because the inbox capacity is so small compared to other forums. However, there is no way I will unless this issue is fixed and I don't see that happening. Evidentily I am the only member who is experiencing the problem. My monitor is a bit old but my machine is brand new. R2R is built on the same platform as this site and I have no issues there whatsoever. Very strange and very frustrating.

Thats probably it-I am running at 1280x1024

BTW
This site is sickeningly slow with IE8 on every page, it loads much faster with Firefox?

Thanks for your efforts. When I turn the sidebar off it cuts off the main menu on the left.:( I can reduce the zoom until I can barely read it and that fixes the problem but I like to be able to read it. LOL I am just silly that way.:)

Hey Andy
As a temporary work around you could turn off the side menu. It's the last item on the quick links menu at the top of the page. It turns back on the same way. I tried and couldn't re-create your problem, so no idea how to fix it.

OK Deb, I took your advice and downloaded Firefox and there is no change. I am very sad.:( LOL Is there anything I can do to get the admin to consider the validity of my problem? I can't be the only one effected.

As to Browser versions.. I recommend running Firefox as this browsers caches pages much better then IE overall. Internet explorer will first try and download the entire contect of each page before it will rendor the page which causes sites to appear like they are slow, not sure why Microsoft does this but Firefox will cache the page objects better and actually starts to load the page and display it even before it even complets all the contents of this page which allow sites to perform as they should.

I downloaded Firefox. It works ok but it wouldn't let me post pics from Photobucket. I guess you have to download a bunch of add-ons. Maybe you know which of the add-ons I need. There are alot of them. It wasn't really noticeably faster either but there again I probably need a bunch of add-ons as well. Here is a screen shot of the issue I am having. Thanks Vito.

Here are couple of more shots. In the first one I have scrolled all the way up and all the way right. You can see on the top of the page where it appears to not line up. The second pic shows what happens when I open a forum page. Notice it cuts off the left. Thanks again. I hope this helps you track down the issue.

Is anyone else having this issue? I cant seem to replicate this issue that
schminksbro is reporting and I have tried IE and Firefox and several other PC's ???

Thanks, Taz, I have 21" monitor set at 1024 by 768. I have tried all the resolution settings and either the problem is the same, the screen doesn't fill my monitor screen, or the print is too small to read. This is the only site I have any problems with. I really don't want to change the appearance of every other site in order to accomodate a technical issue with MR. I like this site but it has become very frustrating to look at. I am finding it less enjoyable every day.:(

what size monitor are you using cant tell from pics also what is the screen resolution set at

if your icons are too small at higher resolutions but you can still read all the txt and what not fine then you can make your dpi larger in the display personalization settings

I dont think it is the monitor due to the fact you can see the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen

however when trying to reproduce this the higest setting I could get it to do it was at your resolution only real difference was that my text didn't realy get smaller but this test was done with firefox

now is it the text size in the website or all your desktop icons you have problems with getting too small when you go to a higher resolution???

Everything gets too small when I change resolution to correct the issue. If it is a problem with the settings on my computer as opposed to the site, why is this the onle site that I have this problem with? I appreciate your help but it is clearly an issue with the site. Unfortunately I seem to be one of very few people who have the problem. I tried Firefox but still had the problem.

The site also randomly whacks out. If there are pics on a particular thread and I change pages or refresh in any way they get huge and cut off the whole left side of the screen. It seems to me to be a glitch in the auto size feature but I am not a computer expert. Just a logical guess.
