Could we split it into equipment and livestock? It is by far the busiest forum and it would be nice to separate it to make searching for items easier. Just a thought.
there is nothing in the selling rules saying you must post location in the title. not saying if it shouldn't just that it isn't. you are thinking of another forum. Honestly as big as our state is I'd like to see east/west or similar as well but that is very unlikely to happen. but we could they could ask zip codes be listed in the topic. of course some things can be shipped even corals ups is one day ground in Michigan.munchinacros said:On the topic of the sell/ trade area... how about a way to have atleast the city/zip code displayed before clicking on items. I hate seeing something I am looking for and then click and see its on the other side of the state
I know it is in the rules that area must be in title but its not enforced and mods would spend all day changing/ telling people to put it in if it was.
Opps sorry guess its not in this sites rules, thought it was.... it'd be nice if it was or there was some kind of way to display the zip without having to open the actual link.labman said:there is nothing in the selling rules saying you must post location in the title. not saying if it shouldn't just that it isn't. you are thinking of another forum. DLBerlin said:That would be the main problem with doing this. With the volume of posts in these forums taking the time to go through the existing posts and move them to the proper forum just isn't gonna happen. That leaves a real concern over how to deal with the current posts.
DLBerlin said:I think premium members have the ability to delete their own threads already.
I'm not sure how that affects the trader rating system, or if it would at all.
DLBerlin said:We can delete or edit any threads we start, and any of our own posts. Not a big seller for premium membership, but a nice perk. It's nice to be able to go back and fix a misspelling or add more info to a post.
Personally I like to see the old selling posts stay. It's nice to be able to look up older stuff. When I bought or sold something, etc...
but usally what I do is delete the post once everything is done. I sold it, they paid for it, took it home I leave a trader rating for them or vice vesa it's hopefully marked sold and then I leave it a few days. then delete it. only thing is sometimes it is nice like DEb said to leave them alone so you can refer back to who you sold something too. for fallow up or what ever.schminksbro said:Non-Premium members can edit for spelling and such but not delete. Tom makes a good point about the feedback though. I was just looking at a way to save server space.
Anyone can go back and fix their spelling and add stuff really.... its called edit and I believe everyone has itDLBerlin said:We can delete or edit any threads we start, and any of our own posts.
